The original 35mm negatives were already showing signs of decay in the 1980s. To counteract this, a duplicate negative of the image and a new sound negative were created, which served as the basis for this restoration.<br><br>In 1986, the sixth reel of the original camera negative was considered lost and was replaced by a duplicate negative of a working copy.
